The Brilliant2 4 x 5.65"/138mm Variable Neutral Density Filter from Lindsey Optics uses two 138mm circular polarizers to create a single variable ND in a 4 x 5.65" frame. This aluminum and glass filter occupies two filter slots in a 4 x 5.65" matte box and rotates using two geared thumbwheels. It offers 2 to 8 stops of neutral-color light reduction and features IR pollution reduction and an anti-reflective multi-coating.

With a 5.1" clear aperture, the Brilliant2 Variable ND is suitable for use with both wide-angle primes and large zoom lenses. Constructed with one rotating polarizer and one stationary polarizer, this filter can be used facing forward or backward for quick mounting. Rotate the filter manually or attach an optional motor via the 1/4"-20 mounting thread for use on a jib or for smooth fading effects.
